3/11/25 POD #12 >Slice of home and love

No plans for today.
A day of no appointments or scheduled ANYTHING.
I almost felt "normal".  Wait, I was and will NEVER be, normal.
OK, maybe I felt....cancer free?

So my mom twisted my arm insisting on treating me to a mani / pedi.

FINE.....

I secretly think that was her way of getting me from running errands so I didn't almost pass out again.
I mean smart. She got me.

It was a gorgeous day with a slight chill but the sun was shining. So we dined al fresco and relaxed in the warmth of the sun.
There are few times I see my mom actually rest.
1. At the beach or in the Caribbean
2. When I make her sit with me and read because well, "I have cancer!"
3. When she can rest her eyes on a gorgeous day knowing those around her are safe.

This relaxing, gorgeous day was topped off by receiving a meal c/o my high school bestie Chriso and his wife, Megan 💗
Every month Chris and I would go out to a new restaurant/diner/food establishment and gorge ourselves on food. Apps, entrees, desserts, the whole 9 yards! (what a weird phrase)
This pic was taken when Chris and I reconnected this past fall. Mom treated me to a girls trip to Charlestown and we met up with Chris and Megan for some good times and delish food!

So this gift was so much more to me than just a DELICIOUS meal for my family from a fancy restaurant in NYC, it was a slice of HOME and love.

Literally was the coolest thing ever! Head on over to Gold Belly to check it out!
