4/14 I don't want to become septic and die

Mom is back.
She arrived back in town last night to accompany me to a slew of appointments as well as a procedure.

This week was supposed to be a busy week, starting with an appointment with my oncologist, then port placement, then finally starting chemo treatments.

Here is how the appointment went:

1. Chemo is delayed at least two more weeks due to drain placement and the likelihood of infection.

2. No port placement - if they were to place the port, it is likely I would become septic due to the suspected infection now having the ability to freely travel throughout my body

I already had a feeling how this was going to go...so I took it in stride.

I mean what am I going to do?

I don't want to become septic and die.

Nonetheless, it is still disappointing to actually hear the words spoken.

I immediately said, "I'm going to work then tomorrow."

I have been out of work since Feb 25 - a day before my first surgery.

I had told the students, "I'll see you in 6 weeks,"

To date it has been almost 7 weeks.

I need a mental health day...at work.

However….as much as I want to go in…I realize my body doesn’t feel great. I am just fatigued and generally…blah.

But I want to go in.

I neeeed to go in.

I will see how I feel in the morning.

In the world of the crayon business, the boys are on fire.

We hit the market (that Facebook Market(place) right with Easter right around the corner.

Sunday, my cousin Tiff came and we went out to breakfast to Turning Point.
I love it there!

We had a really nice time together and I enjoyed her visit tremendously ❤️

However, before going out, we were looking at and discussing the crayons.

When we returned home, somehow we ended up back in the workshop (jk, it’s my dining room, but same thing at this point).

Looking back at the crayons, I stopped…

Wait…doesn’t it seem like some crayons are missing??

Am I crazy??
