2/9/25 FLY EAGLES FLY!

Today I worked at the hospital as I do typically 2-3x/month.

Today going into work, I knew it was going to be my last time for quite awhile.

I typically love working with my patients in the ICU, the ER, etc. I love to see my nursing friends and colleagues and experience the change of pace this job provides me with vs. my teaching job.

But today...I wasn't feeling it. I was feeling like I wanted to be home spending more time with my family vs. away from my family while I was still capable of doing things.

My colleague Lisa acknowledging my feelings, offered to take my last shift of the month the following Sunday. It is little acts of kindness such as that, that make such an impact on me lately.

The day was fine - it went by quickly - we all beat the snow  - and got home in time to unwind and prep for THE GAME.

.....fast forward......

THE F*CKing EAGLES BEAT THE KANSAS CITY CHIEFS IN THE SUPERBOWL.

E-A-G-L-E-S!!!

NUFF SAID.

It was a GREAT SUNDAY.

And (possibly more importantly) my hubby FINALLY could SHAVE/TRIM his hair, beard, chest, and unmentionables, as well as cut his toenails. Yup.  Let that all soak in.
But I guess you're welcome because alas the EAGLES won!!!
