Normal.
I want to keep normalcy as much as possible.
Being a sports mom and cheering on my kids and their teammates is so very very normal!
Even when a child from the other team asks, "Do you wanna go?" As in yes, a 10-11 year old asked to fight me 🫥
Logan's team had a game over an hour away - so off we went!
It was cold. It was windy. They didn't play well.
But I WAS THERE.
To yell.
To support.
To offer advice.
To be his mom.
To be normal.
And it felt perfect⚽💗

After soccer, my work besties came over!!!!!!
As a reminder, my husband always says you can only have one BEST or one BESTIE as I like to say.
And, well, technically, I do only have one(ish) in each category 🤩
Let’s re-cap:
Highschool bestie = Chriso
Gettysburg College bestie(s) = Jules & Trish (they are a packaged deal so essentially count as ONE)
Ithaca College bestie = Liz
Drexel University bestie = Beavies
Temple University (if we are going this route) but really work bestie(s) = Jonell, Mickey, Ewa (we can throw Matthew in there too...he just doesn't fully comprehend it yet) so really a B1G3 so still counts as ONE
Spending an ENTIRE day, literally open until close at Knoebels has been a summer tradition...even when we go on the HOTTEST day of the summer 🥵

Matching is our FAV 💗

Best field trip ever to pick out classroom furniture from a facility that had a rainforest in their staircase!!!! And no...we still do not have classroom furniture but man did we have fun picking it all out.
We so FANCY - cheers to HOSA!
Goat yoga was a blast, and when they all met my mom, they said, "Ohhhh...now it makes sense." 🤣
When we first started the students would ask how long we knew each other before coming to work at LCTI. We didn't.
Do we hang out outside of work? Initially, no, as we don't necessarily live close to one another but then DUH, we made the time.
Do our kids get along? YUP.
Do we laugh endlessly and hysterically at seemingly everything and yet nothing at all? YUP.
Never in a million years did I think I'd be working along two other females who would become family and that we would then have a third to join our crazy mix.
Jonell is my red headed, outspoken, F-bomb loving, deathly afraid of eyes but will touch mine to put my contact in when I cut up hot peppers and now the oil is on my fingers and I can’t do it myself, protect her at all costs, kinda friend.
Mickey as we know is my (class)roommate, the Sadness to my Joy (purely an Inside Out reference, again, she is NOT sad), yin to my yang, I hate this cancer journey for you with all my heart and will make me ink as I let it all out, chicken loving, craft making, cookie baking, I swear there is 100 of her that work together in one day to get all the things done she does, who hurt you?! I'm coming with you, kinda friend.
Ewa is my Polish Princess but don't be jaded. She is the first one to call me a B with all the love in the world and the cutest little accent, the only one I would let in my mouth as that is sacred and just damn near private (also side note, she is a dental hygienist 😅), she knows all my secrets and gives guidance and advice with the knowledge of a woman who has 4 kids and a husband of many more years than I, and who will feel all the feels after one DRINK but tell you after shes driven you somewhere that she felt that, kinda friend.
Matthew is cautiously entering this circle (as one should) but fits right in with his wit and sarcastic nature, being a strong supporter of us as colleagues and teachers, forced to supervise us with our strong willed ways, crazy personalities, and of course all the charm we bring to his life. He allows us to be us while directing us so to not lose our jobs all while keeping it real / we never had this conversation, kinda friend.
Ugh...I really miss those kinda friends. It was a great visit 💕💝
