4/23 My plumbing system has been compromised.

Today I had an appointment with physical therapy, well, more of like a reassessment.
This therapist is the lymphedema specialist I saw a bit ago.

I had set this appointment up as I have swelling in my R upper arm as well as in the area of both pec muscles.

Now that the infection and expanders are out, this swelling isn't as uncomfortable, but I need it to get moving. Literally.

I also have cording B/L, which just feels like there is a rope inside my arm that will NOT stretch. It is manageable, but doesn't feel great, and obviously restricts my full range of motion.

As with most things I've been experiencing of late, ain't nobody got time for that.

She performed some manual lymphatic drainage to try and get the fluid moving - and this is something I will continue to work on myself so I don't have an over accumulation which obviously leads to more problems in and of itself.

Of course it does.

She took measurements of my arms and ordered compression garments.

The recommendation is to wear these daily - all day er day - as my plumbing system has been compromised.

As odd as this may sound, at this time, I actually feel ok with that - if it is going to help me restore my function, I'll do it.

Also, they have companies that make cool sleeves (such as LympheDivas)!

So much cheaper than a tattoo! HA!
